Chronological Order (Story-Driven Experience):
If you’d prefer to follow the storyline as it progresses in the world of the Apes, this order follows the timeline of events:
- Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)
- Starts with the origin of intelligent apes.
- Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014)
- Chronicles the early conflict between humans and apes.
- War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)
- Depicts the climactic war between the two species.
- Kingdom of Planet of the Apes (2024)
- This would follow directly after the events of “War” as the continuation of the reboot trilogy.
- Planet of the Apes (1968)
- Set far in the future where apes rule the Earth.
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
- Continues from the 1968 film, expanding the world.
- Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)
- Apes travel back in time to modern-day Earth.
- Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
- Shows the beginning of the ape revolution on Earth.
- Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
- The final conflict between humans and apes for Earth’s future.
- There was also a “Planet of the Apes” animated TV series called “Return to the Planet of the Apes” that aired in 1975.
- It’s part of the extended “Planet of the Apes” franchise, and while it isn’t as well-known as the movies, it adds an interesting layer to the universe.
- Planet of the Apes (2001)
- As this is a standalone reboot, you can watch it last as a separate experience.
